#abismo.animados 2.0

#abismos.animados 2.0 is an act performance ritual performed by Korina, spectres and sculptures created by her mother Eudoxie Pavlina. In #abismo.animados 2.0 all matter is vibrant and mutant, no structure is passive or stable. A labyrinthic experience potentialized by Mary Wigman, Rosemary, Reagan and Marie Sklodowska Curie, the work connects ideas and concepts of the magical to the choregraphical, bringing together bodily practices and magic rituals.
The process of creation of #abismo.animados began in 2017, as a spin-off of the #abyss series, a choreographic research and performance project initiated by Flesh System collective em 2013. The first development of the research was the performance #abyss.witchroulette (2013), followed by the culinary extravaganza #abyss.foodpossession (2015).
#abismo.animados was created for Mostra Paralela arte. corpo. performance, held by the Arts Institute of the Federal University of Uberlândia (Minas Gerais, BR) in 2017. In 2018, the work was in process in the frame of the artist-in-residence program at Centro de Referência da Dança da Cidade de São Paulo – CRDSP. The newest episode #abismo.animados 2.0 was performed in January 2019 within the program Cartografia do Possível at CRDSP.
