flesh. stick. stone II (2025)
expanded choreography installation
materials: inkjet prints, stone, 3D prints in PLA filament, plaster, acrylic paint, sea salt
31 October - 02 November, Höjden Festival, höjden studios, Stockholm, SE
flesh. stick. stone II is an invitation into documentation, traces and resonance of alliances between humans and the ground as practices of transformation and belonging. These practices were developed on different political grounds, such as the Brazilian Amazon, the Netherlands, and a quarry in the south of Stockholm.
The site-responsive installation could be experienced as a surface where material and incorporeal things make different geographies touch. Responding to Höjden Festival’s theme “Reprise”, the installation brought together elements from choreographic anarchiving: lithic—a series of three works exhibited in Stockholm in 2023, and which unfolded from an artistic research project situated at the crossroad between choreography, feminist new materialisms, and anthropology beyond the human.
