flesh. stick. stone II is an invitation into documentation, traces and resonance of alliances between humans and the ground as practices of transformation and belonging. These practices were developed on different political grounds, such as the Brazilian Amazon, the Netherlands, and a quarry in the south of Stockholm.
The site-responsive installation could be experienced as a surface where material and incorporeal things make different geographies touch. Responding to Höjden Festival’s theme “Reprise”, the installation brought together elements from choreographic anarchiving: lithic—a series of three works exhibited in Stockholm in 2023, and which unfolded from an artistic research project situated at the crossroad between choreography, feminist new materialisms, and anthropology beyond the human.

Artistic
residency and public performance in the frame of Practices for the Future - a project initiated and curated by DanceRemainings - Sebastian Ruiz B. &#38;amp;
Jonny Berg.

Practices for the Future consisted of a series of curated residencies happening within the exhibition (ON) THE EDGES, at Röda Sten Konsthall, Gothenburg, Sweden. Curated by Amila Puzic, (ON) THE EDGES showed works by artists Cha Blasco, Max Ockborn, and
Patrik Bengtsson.
The residency was carried out from 2-7 July 2024. We engaged in choreographic
anarchiving practices, proposing a dialogue with other human entities
and the surplus of both tangible
and incorporeal materials present in the exhibition space. I shared my practices with Sebastian Ruiz B.
(CHIL/SE), weaving sessions of listening, embodiment, movement and writing. In the space between the fabric of practices, interactions with visitors in the exhibiton, and the performativity of the artworks creating the space, a choreographic score emerged. At the end of the residency, we performed the score with/for an audience, who we also invited to a conversation.

The artistic proposition unfolded from my artistic research project choreographic anarchiving and body-making -&#38;nbsp;an
artistic research practice at the confluence of choreography, dance, feminist new materialisms, and anthropology beyond the human. Its draws attention to and feeds on philosophical
stances closely aligned to non-Western epistemologies, ecological thinking and decoloniality.

materials: aural score, field recordings, a small moveable platform with wet clay, a deer’s skull, local rocks, mini piles of dust, pieces of bark, metal wire, plastic hair claws, inkjet prints of photographic material, inkjet print of an AI generated image, blue tape

The language-based materials within the aural score are crossroads between you, cellulose fibers, Tim Ingold, ink, Timothy Morton,
liquid crystal, sound waves, Manoel de Barros, trillions of
invisible things, Davi Kopenawa, Senselab and Korina Kordova.



The choreographic installation before; the crater was shared at the end of a two-week residency during the autumn 2023 at BIRCA: Bækkelund International Residency Center for Artists, on the Danish island of Bornholm.
The spectators-participants were first invited to experience an aural score outdoors. Later, they were invited to perceive and transform an installation inside BIRCA’s white box.&#38;nbsp;

The
anarchive is a repertory of traces which
are not inert.They are carriers of potential.


A
surface. A landscape of fragments: images, small things,and ghosts.It reactivates traces of previous research phasesand documentation of current unfinished processes.It becomes a place-event that works with the 


excess
energy of the archive: the surplus,
affordances, affects.[1]

	Choreographic anarchiving
and body-making is&#38;nbsp;an
artistic research practice at the confluence of choreography, dance, feminist new materialisms, and anthropology beyond the human. Its draws attention to and feeds on philosophical
stances closely aligned to non-Western epistemologies, ecological thinking and decoloniality.
 















As ways of seeing and knowing, “choreographic
anarchiving” and “body-making”, are respectively conceptual and embodied 















perspectives on perceiving, understanding, activating,
and documenting. These converge, and ignite each other, forming a meshwork where
ideas, human and extrahuman entities,
and materials touch and become lenses we may look through. 











 
























Through
the activation of these practices-methods within settings comprised by human
and extrahuman entities’ co-presence, I engage with the notion of ‘space as a
practice’, allowing place-events to emerge. These activations may be
part of processes of creation of finished (?) artworks, as well as instantly
composed performances.

	















 These sets of practices-methods are
dialogical and include movement, voicing, meditation, writing, calls for imagination,
energychannelling, photography, thing-making, speculation and myth-making.

I began to develop choreographic
anarchiving and body-making around 2021, departing from a surface of traces, both material and
intangible, of the research project Amazonizing Practices: processes of thinking-moving with a landscape: a
set of artistic practices, rocks from the Brazilian Amazon and their inorganic
3D-printed (non)reproductions, videos, as well as written and aural scores.
Choreographic
anarchiving and body-makingand unfolds through multiple mediums, such as dance, written and aural scores, texts, photography, and other hard-to-name-things. These materials are both artistic outcomes and traces which are processualy anarchived and choreographed into different constellations. To this moment, these constellations have been publicly shared as choreographic installations within performance and/or exhibition settings.&#38;nbsp;

flesh. stick. stone and see through were created for the exibition ‘Materialities; energies’ at Gallery ID:I, in Stockholm, Sweden. Both works unfold from choreographic anarchiving and body-making, an artistic research project situated at the crossroad between choreography, feminist materialism, and anthropology beyond the human. The artist works from and with traces, both material and intangible, weaving them together in dialogue with the exhibition space, memories, and imagination, allowing a mini-non-site to emerge. The assembling of traces reenchanted in flesh. stick. stone connects the ground from different geographies: the Brazilian Amazon, Arnhem (Netherlands), a quarry in the south of Stockholm, and the grey floor at ID:I gallery.

Unfolding in an outdoor space, the work comprises an aural score to be experienced by spectators-participants, and a dance performance that creates a temporary sculpture. The work weaves relationships between human bodies and mineral traces displaced from different geographic grounds. The artist works from and with traces, both material and intangible, weaving them together in a box in a public space in the center of Stockholm.

The language-based materials within the work are crossroads between you, cellulose fibers, Senselab, Tim Ingold, ink, Timothy Morton, liquid crystal, Manoel de Barros, trillions of invisible things, Davi Kopenawa, Senselab, and Korina Kordova.&#38;nbsp;
The assemblage was created for the ‘Materialities; energies’ exhibition at outdoor gallery at På Sergels torg during Stockholm Art Week.

Welcome to the exhibition that brings together works by fifteen artists who met in the one-year postmaster course “Materialities; energies” at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Through their own individual artistic practices, each artist presents an approach to materiality as a form of energy and medium in an experimental and interdisciplinary manner. 

Materialities; energies presents different approaches to working with energy as a form of matter, taking it as an artistic medium and/or starting point for artistic investigation and creation. Matter can be transformed and transmuted, shaped and reshaped, purposed and repurposed; yet its energy remains intact. Employing multiple mediums, translating form, transducing energy, or just allowing the invisible to be channelled through the body, each artist attempts to reflect on and expand their practice. 

If materiality and energy are ever present, how does giving attention to such basic aspects of existence relate to sustainability and philosophical stances in our times? How could artists collaborate with scientists and/or use technological tools to reveal a universe which is beyond human perception? 

Since energy can take infinite forms to be perceived by different human senses, the works in this exhibition invite you to see, read, listen, think, move, remember, and imagine with them. Co-performing with all the matter-energy flowing in this public space, they invite you to experience...

The anarchive is a repertory of traces which are not inert.
They are carriers of potential.
A surface. A landscape of fragments: images, small things, and ghosts. 
It reactivates traces of previous research phases 
and documentation of current unfinished processes.
It becomes a place-event that works with the excess energy of the archive:
the surplus, affordances, affects, and forces attracted by things.choreographic anarchiving: lithic is an assemblage for thinking-moving with human and extrahuman entities, a surface where material and incorporeal things make different geographies touch. A scattered choreographic piece that invites to pause-see-read-listen in a public space.

By re-enchanting material and incorporeal traces, choreographic anarchiving: lithic takes them into the future behind them, digging into the mysterious temporality of artistic research, and proposing a connection to the animistic dimension of perception.

your sitting bones shine bright in the sky is an artwork comprising an aural score to be experienced by the spectators-participants, and a movement-based scored performance that creates a temporary sculpture-installation, a mini-non-site, which is then placed in the exhibition space.
